How to Lose 10 Pounds for Your Big Date

The good news: You've got a big date on Saturday night. The bad news: That means you only have one week to lose some weight! And now you've probably been looking at yourself in the mirror, cursing like a sailor as you wonder how you'll be able to lose ten pounds by then. Can you wish it off? Give it up Cinderella, wishes aren't that magical. But don't fret: You CAN do it. Read on to find out how!

Water, Water, and more Water!

That's right, water.

If you need to lose that weight quickly, water can help you do it. The human body naturally retains water. So when we drink lots of it, our bodies decide it's okay to loosen its death grip on that all that extra water. So, it's conceivable for you to lose some of that weight in a week or less.

Here's how to lose 10 pounds with the water. Drink 100 ounces of water every day for that week.

If you're like me and you hate water, drink it with a twist of lemon or lime. A bit of honey can help sweeten it up as well, but no matter what, just keep drinking your butt off. Literally, in this case!

Eat Smaller Portions.

A lot people don't know that you can lose 10 pounds by eating more meals a day. Instead of eating three large meals, it's better to eat 6 smaller meals a day. You heard that right: 6 meals every day. The trick is to make them much smaller than a normal-sized meal.

A good idea of size is about 1 to 2 ounces of lean meat and 1/2 cup of some great veggie like spinach or some other sort of green. That'll do the trick to help you slim down for the hot date with that hunk.

But no matter what, you should never starve! Make sure you eat, just use smaller portions, and drink that water.
