Snowboarding Tricks - What Not To Do
So, you've decided to learn how to do some really neat snowboarding tricks? That's a great idea. You can look really cool in front of your friends, show off your stuff, and maybe even gain a fan club. Okay, well maybe you won't get a fan club, but you will look really cool.
Before you start, you should really do a lot of research and hang out with some experienced snowboarders. Keep in mind that there are a lot of things you should not do when it comes to performing your snowboarding tricks. Here are some tips and guidelines you can follow.
Don't:
Get boots that are too tight on your feet. When you try the boots on, they should feel comfortable. A lot of people think that if they hurt a little, it's okay because you will break them in. This is simply not true. Always purchase boots that fit snugly without feeling like they're too tight.
Start off by buying a long board. Always start out with a cheap board so that you can mess it up without too much fuss.I mean, you are just starting so there is no need to go for the best just yet. Purchasing a long board or a really expensive one isn't a good idea.
Be embarrassed if you fall. Who cares? Have you realized how many times pro snowboarders like Sean White has taken a tumble or two? Tons. Everyone does and it's all a part of learning.
Try advanced snowboarding tricks too quickly. Begin with the simple ones. The big ones will come later.
Practice alone. Always make sure to have some friends go along with you when you are working on your tricks just in case you get hurt and need some help. It has happened. At the very least, always take a buddy with you.
Alright, well that was enough for today. Now you can go out there and start practicing those sweet snowboarding tricks!
