ACNE-FREE SKIN IN 3 STEPS

Acne is a great problem for many adolescents and more mature people. For this reason there has always been distress about acne and its consequences. Each year there are millions of dollars being spent on the management of acne and its effects.

However, all this money could be saved if you practice habits to avoid acne. Avoiding bad habits is just as important as using the right product. We have outlined the most important things you should do to preserve acne-free skin.

Step 1 - Cleansing your skin

It is very important that you keep your skin clean and free of toxins. Every skin care habit should include products that are appropriate for your skin and should be used in the following method:

Cleansing: You should wash your face twice a day. Always use tepid water to wash away the product and gently pat your skin dry with a clean face towel.

Toning: Use alcohol free toner to wipe away any remaining residue.

Moisturizing: For the best results, moisturize your skin immediately after toning.

Exfoliation: Exfoliating is an additional step that can be included in your acne skin treatment routine. The regularity depends on your age and skin type and can vary from several times a week to a few times a month.

Step 2 - Eating Properly

Although studies have not been conclusive about the connection between food and acne pimples, it is clear that a healthy diet is advantageous for the whole organism. By eating a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and avoiding the consumption of fried foods and foods high in fat, your organism will be better outfitted to handle illnesses and hormonal fluctuations.

Every person should eat certain nutrients that are critical for healthful skin treatment. Vitamin A provides nutrition for radiant skin. B Vitamins, including Vitamin B1, are an antioxidants that clear skin from toxins and free radicals thereby promoting acne free skin. Vitamin B3 helps to heal damaged skin and deters the growth of acne. Vitamin E helps manage antioxidant levels. Zinc helps reduce skin blemishes and stop acne by normalizing certain hormones. Additionally, the appropriate diet will uphold skin moisture and body hydration. It will also help you stabilize your weight and mood.

Step 3 - Avoiding Irritants

Irritants are products and habits that can exacerbate an acne problem.

You should keep away from the following products:

-Products containing alcohol; Alcohol can dry skin and make it more vulnerable to bacteria.

-Products that contain comedogenic elements; A good skin product is usually labelled as non-comedogenic.

Bad habits that can irritate an existing acne problem are:

-Popping pimples and zits; Always try to elude picking at an existing pimple. This practice can damage the surrounding tissue and make the pimple worse.

-Over cleansing the skin; Skin should not be treated harshly. Elude hot water and rubbing too hard. The proper cleansing products will be successful without any added effort on your part.

-Using unclean face towels and pillow cases; Both can harbor bacteria that can make acne worse. Therefore, it is important to maintain their cleanliness by washing them frequently.

Sometimes Following Those Easy Steps Is Not Enough

Don't hesitate to visit a dermatologist if you have a severe case of acne. Mild acne and the sporadic pimple can be remedied with an over the counter acne treatment cream. However, since more severe manifestations of acne can create significant pain, irritation and/or scarring, a professional consultation is advisable.

With healthy practices, careful skin treatment, and the right product suggested by your acne treatment center, you can easily achieve and maintain healthy, acne-free skin.
