The Murad Acne Complex is a group of products that addresses acne with:

• Salicylic Acid to unclog pores and fight acne bacteria to help prevent future breakouts
• Green Tea Extract and Menthol to calm and cool irritated skin

This sytem does not use benzoyl peroxide.

It uses an exfolaiting product with Retinol and Glycolic Acid and they warn you that if you are a first-time user of alpha hydroxy acid products, you should apply the Exfoliating Acne Treatment Gel at night only, for the first 2 weeks of use. And if you continue to experience sensitivity, reduce usage to once every other day. Gradually increase to twice a day.

Then you apply a third product with
• Retinol and Queen of Meadow Extract to reduce oil production and tighten pores
• Arnica to help heal and calm irritated skin (due to the action of the salicylic acuid and the exfoliators)

They also offer a Clarifying Mask with the following ingredients,tyo be used just in case the exfolaition product does not work for you. It contains.
• Sulfur which is purported to reduces acne severity as it
   encourages the skin to clear
• Zinc and Licorice Extract to soothe, comfort and calm skin
• Kaolin Clay to regulate oil production and reduces shine

Those masks are realy nothing else but a waste of time and money for they can not possible do anything for your skin, unless you leave them on all day long.

Murad also offers an Acne Spot Treatment, to carry with you for that odd pimple. It contains

• Sulfur which eliminates and clears breakouts
• Zinc and Licorice Extract which are purported to speed healing

In a nutshell: a clever concoction of chemicals, minerals and botanicals to address every possible aspect of acne breakouts. It may be succesfull for some people and cause severe reactions of the skin to other users.
